Modern dentistry + State-of-the-art technology

A prosthetic crown can restore a heavily-damaged tooth to prevent further damage. It improves the appearance of the tooth while maintaining its functions.

What is a dental crown?

A crown is a permanent single (or partial) dental prosthesis that resembles a small hat. It is custom-made so that it fits the tooth precisely and perfectly matches your natural teeth.

Crowns can be made using different materials such as resin, porcelain, ceramic, metal or a ceramic-metal alloy. This type of restoration is solid, beautiful-looking and lasts about 10 years.

Situations requiring a crown:

  • After a root canal
  • To cover a large filling
  • Broken or cracked tooth
  • Discoloured, misshapen or misaligned tooth

Just one appointment needed

Dr. Malouf’s clinic uses CEREC technology to create ceramic crowns using computer-assisted design in just a few steps:

  1. A digital impression is made of your tooth
  2. The tooth is prepped
  3. A digital impression is made of the prepped tooth
  4. A 3D model of the restoration is created on the computer
  5. The ceramic piece is milled
  6. The restoration is installed

This approach enables ceramic prostheses to be ready in just one appointment. You’ll immediately feel better, without the need for a second appointment.
